Policy Overview

Welcome to Healing Arts—where your dignity and well-being come first. We value transparency, trust, and your full-person experience. The following policies outline how we collaborate, protect your privacy, and provide compassionate, effective mental health care.

1. Appointments & Cancellations

  • Scheduling: Appointments can be booked via member portal or by contacting [email protected] or calling 702-381-2456.

  • Cancellations: If bookings/appointments must be cancelled and you or your party cannot attend, please notify us of changes at least 48 hours before date of group or individual/family/couples's session for a full refund. Any cancellations after that cannot be refunded but appointment can be rescheduled for a later date.

2. Fees & Payments

  • Rates: We offer sliding scale rates depending on service (individual therapy, group therapy, consulting, coaching) and session length.

  • Insurance: Healing Arts is cash-pay only—no insurance billing. Payment is expected at the time of service.

  • Refund Policy: Refunds for prepaid packages or deposits will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

3. Confidentiality & Privacy

  • We adhere to all applicable privacy laws and ethical guidelines (e.g., HIPAA) in protecting client information.

  • All records (paper and electronic) are stored securely.

  • Nothing is disclosed without your written consent—except in cases such as:

    • Risk of harm to self or others,

    • Abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult,

    • Court-ordered requests.

  • Client portal and communication tools are encrypted and secure.

4. Telehealth Services (if applicable)

  • Available by request; delivered via [specific platform].

  • Secure, encrypted, and consistent with Trauma-informed and biopsychosocial best practices.

  • Must be conducted in a confidential, distraction-free environment.

5. Scope of Practice

  • Services offered include therapy for trauma and other conditions through an integrative lens, childhood/adolescent disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, individual, couples, family, group therapy, wellness, and coaching—for personal growth and organizational consulting.

  • Services are provided by Dr. Tyronne A. West, LMFT, with a DBA in Healthcare Management & Leadership.

  • If a client’s needs fall outside my scope, referrals to appropriate professionals will be made.

6. Ethical Commitment & Client Rights

  • Clients are treated with respect, dignity, and without bias—regardless of race, culture, socioeconomic status, gender identity, etc.

  • You have the right to:

    • Withdraw consent or discontinue therapy at any time,

    • Ask questions about treatment,

    • Request clarification of any policy,

    • Access your own records or request corrections.

  • You also have the right to lodge complaints through the relevant professional licensing board.

7. Emergencies & Crisis

  • Healing Arts is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

  • For urgent concerns outside business hours, contact [local hotlines, e.g., Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: dial 988].

8. Telecommunication & Communication Etiquette

  • Please refrain from using email or text for therapy except for scheduling, billing, or brief administrative questions.

  • Allow up to 48 business hours for a response during normal operating hours.

9. Informed Consent

  • At your first appointment—or before services begin—we’ll review confidentiality, limits of confidentiality, fee structure, cancellation policy, and the general treatment approach. Your written consent is required.

10. Access & Non-discrimination

  • Healing Arts is committed to making therapy accessible. Reasonable accommodations will be provided (e.g., scheduling flexibility, language assistance) when requested.

  • We do not discriminate on any grounds.
